Concrete for Homes in Noble
Noble is the closest town to us on the south side of Norman, and we are the concrete contractors in Noble who are minutes away along U.S. Route 77. It is Cleveland County's third-largest city, behind Norman and Moore, with 6,985 residents in 2020 and an estimated 7,739 in 2023. We pour and replace driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, stamped concrete and slabs for garages, shops and sheds.
A Land Run town on the river
On April 22, 1889, the day of the first land run, J.W. Klinglesmith, Albert Rennie and other businessmen crossed the South Canadian River and claimed a 160-acre townsite. They named it for John Noble, the Secretary of the Interior. The Santa Fe Railroad finished a depot in August 1889, and Noble became a shipping point for cattle and goods.
Today the Canadian River still forms the western edge of the city, with McClain County across the water. Norman lies to the north and Slaughterville to the south. Homes near the old downtown are the oldest in Noble and often have narrow drives and walks that have been patched many times. Newer homes and acreages spread out east and south of town.
Rose rocks and what they say about the ground
Noble calls itself the Rose Rock Capital of the World. Wikipedia credits the high barium sulfate in the local soil for forming the rose rocks, and the town holds a Rose Rock Festival on the first Saturday in May. For a concrete job, what matters is how your own lot drains. Sandy ground drains better than heavy clay, but it can wash out from under a slab if water is allowed to run along the edge. We compact the base, add edging where needed and grade the finished surface so runoff does not undercut the slab.
Steady growth since the 1970s
Noble had 995 residents in 1960, then 2,241 in 1970, 3,497 in 1980 and 4,710 in 1990. Those decades added most of the town's subdivisions, and much of their original concrete is now 35 to 55 years old. That is the age when we see cracked driveway aprons, settled garage approaches and patios that have pulled away from the house. On newer homes from the 2000s and 2010s, the work is more about adding: a patio, a wider drive, a walk to the back gate or a shop slab.

Noble Questions
Does sandy soil in Noble cause concrete problems?
Sandy soil drains well but can wash out under a slab edge if water runs along it. A compacted base and good grading prevent most of those problems.
How fast can you get to Noble?
Noble is just south of Norman on U.S. 77, so we can usually schedule a site visit quickly.
Can you replace just my driveway apron?
Yes. If the rest of the drive is sound, we can replace the cracked apron or garage approach and match the finish.
